Ocean Signal’s EPRIB1 Pro operates on three Cospas-sarsat satellite systems, including the new Meosar constellation and associated ground stations. In conjunction with an in-built 66-channel GPS receiver, this enables the beacon’s signal to typically be received by a rescue centre, and located with 100m accuracy, just five minutes after activation. The unit is 30% smaller than most, has a ten year battery life and is available with a Category 1 auto-deploy float-free bracket.
