Just passing through? The scientific research vessel Tara in Haitheu Bay, Nuku Hiva Island, in French Polynesia. Sailor, photographer and chef Julien Girardot arrived in French Polynesia for a one-month expedition aboard Tara. Ten years later, he was still there. See his incredible photo essay on page 40.
