Seventy new jobs as thebigword expands
Language services provider thebigword has created nearly 70 jobs at its Leeds headquarters after a series of major new business wins with customers across the world.
By the end of July, the company will employ more than 600 people at its headquarters, making it one of the largest private sector employers in the UK city.
thebigword serves many of the biggest and best-known international brands and a growing number of UK and US government organisations.
As a result of new contracts in the technology, justice and charity sectors, thebigword is recruiting for roles in operations, sales, marketing and technology.
It is encouraging university graduates to apply for technology roles in machine translation and related fields.
The company is investing in workplace engagement programmes to help attract and retain talent and further boost productivity. Initiatives cover wellbeing, pay and benefits, personal growth, CSR and team development.

The new contract wins include a major deal to supply white-label language services on behalf of a multi-national technology corporation.
