RAAB SEEN AS SAFER PAIR OF HANDS

Yorkshire Post - Business - - FRONT PAGE -

The fact that David Davis has spent just four hours in talks with his opposite number at the EU Michel Barnier this year meant his resignation would not have any great impact on negotiations. It has been left to a senior civil servant, Olly Robbins, to conduct the day-today negotiations.

In July 2016, Mr Davis wrote that “within two years, before the negotiation with the EU is likely to be complete ... we can negotiate a free trade area massively larger than the EU”.

Business is hopeful that Dominic Raab will have a greater understanding of the complexities of leaving the EU.
