Ryanair car­ries more pas­sen­gers

Ryanair has re­ported a rise in Oc­to­ber pas­sen­ger traf­fic de­spite hav­ing to stom­ach more than 300 flight can­cel­la­tions due to bad weather, strikes and air traf­fic con­trol staff short­ages.

The Ir­ish low-cost air­line re­ported an 11 per cent rise in traf­fic, in­clud­ing its Lauda unit, to 13.1 mil­lion for the month, up from 11.8 mil­lion the year be­fore. Load fac­tor for the month re­mained flat year-on-year at 96 per cent. On a month-on month ba­sis, traf­fic re­mained flat.
