£8m Porsche showroom set to create 50 new jobs
Plans have been submitted by Lister Group and Wykeland Group to develop an £8m Porsche showroom in Hull.
The franchise will be the first Porsche centre for family-owned Listers, which already deals in other luxury car brands across Hull, Lincolnshire and the Midlands. It will see 50 new jobs being created and is expected to be completed in late 2019.
Lister Group managing director, Geoff Lister, said: “Porsche Centre Hull will be located on a two-anda-half acre site on the high-profile Bridgehead business park.
“This is an exciting development both for the city and our company and is part of Porsche’s strategic plan to expand its dealer network to take advantage of growing demand in the luxury car market.”
The scheme is being developed by Listers in partnership with Hullbased Wykeland. It will see a 22car, double-height showroom created alongside 14 workshop bays.
Dominic Gibbons, managing director of the Wykeland Group, developer of Bridgehead, said: “This is the latest in a series of significant investments by blue chip companies at Bridgehead and especially exciting as it will bring one of the world’s most prestigious motoring brands to East Yorkshire.”
Listers Porsche director Richard Kitteridge said: “I’ve lived in Hull for the last 15 years and am really excited to be bringing this iconic brand to the city.
“Everyone dreams of owning a Porsche and we’re looking forward to making those dreams a reality with both new and approved preowned models on display.”
