Detectamet’s Group has appointed Helen Tordoff as group marketing manager. “We’ve seen a phenomenal growth in demand for our products,” said Helen Morrison, Detectamet’s Group managing director. “With this appointment, we can now focus on strengthening our global position. The last fifteen years have been about growing the company and we have achieved remarkable success to date.” Ms Tordoff, has a wealth of experience, she said.
The senior partner of Harrogate law firm McCormicks has been reappointed to the national sports dispute resolution body. Peter McCormick, described recently as “the god of sports law” and “a giant in footballrelated law” by leading legal guide the UK Legal 500, will be a member of the Sport Resolutions (UK) Panels of Arbitrators and Mediators for a further three-year term. The appointment means that he will continue to chair arbitrations.
Communications agency Beattie has appointed higher education student Rebecca Longbottom – left with Beattie director Rachel Gladwin – to join its specialist retail team as fashion intern. The paid internship will give Rebecca a unique insight into the world of fashion communications and marketing. The agency, which has offices in Leeds, launched its Beattie Rising Stars initiative earlier this year to make it easier for students to get on the career ladder. Rebecca is currently an undergraduate in multimedia journalism at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Residential leasehold expert PM Legal Services has taken on Chloe Quinn, a student from Doncaster charity YMCA Training, which supports young people to learn the skills they need to achieve their aspirations. PM Legal Services has also promoted Kirsten Etheridge, another YMCA training student. Ms Quinn has been appointed as an administration assistant and Ms Etheridge has been promoted from office administrator to junior PA to Cassandra Zanelli.
Investment management and stockbroking firm Redmayne Bentley is continuing its expansion with two new appointments to its Leeds team. Investment manager Ian Booth and investment management department manager Stuart Ryan have both joined Redmayne Bentley. Mr Booth began his career in 1979 at Barclays in Barrow-in-Furness. Mr Ryan graduated from the University of Wales with a degree in law and commenced his career in finance at HSBC in Canary Wharf.
