De­tec­tamet’s Group has ap­pointed He­len Tord­off as group mar­ket­ing man­ager. “We’ve seen a phe­nom­e­nal growth in de­mand for our prod­ucts,” said He­len Mor­ri­son, De­tec­tamet’s Group man­ag­ing di­rec­tor. “With this ap­point­ment, we can now fo­cus on strength­en­ing our global po­si­tion. The last fif­teen years have been about grow­ing the com­pany and we have achieved re­mark­able success to date.” Ms Tord­off, has a wealth of ex­pe­ri­ence, she said.


The se­nior part­ner of Har­ro­gate law firm McCormicks has been reap­pointed to the na­tional sports dis­pute res­o­lu­tion body. Peter McCormick, de­scribed re­cently as “the god of sports law” and “a giant in foot­ball­re­lated law” by lead­ing le­gal guide the UK Le­gal 500, will be a mem­ber of the Sport Res­o­lu­tions (UK) Pan­els of Ar­bi­tra­tors and Me­di­a­tors for a fur­ther three-year term. The ap­point­ment means that he will con­tinue to chair ar­bi­tra­tions.


Com­mu­ni­ca­tions agency Beat­tie has ap­pointed higher ed­u­ca­tion stu­dent Rebecca Long­bot­tom – left with Beat­tie di­rec­tor Rachel Glad­win – to join its spe­cial­ist re­tail team as fash­ion in­tern. The paid in­tern­ship will give Rebecca a unique in­sight into the world of fash­ion com­mu­ni­ca­tions and mar­ket­ing. The agency, which has of­fices in Leeds, launched its Beat­tie Ris­ing Stars ini­tia­tive ear­lier this year to make it eas­ier for stu­dents to get on the ca­reer lad­der. Rebecca is cur­rently an un­der­grad­u­ate in mul­ti­me­dia jour­nal­ism at Manch­ester Met­ro­pol­i­tan Univer­sity.


Res­i­den­tial lease­hold ex­pert PM Le­gal Ser­vices has taken on Chloe Quinn, a stu­dent from Don­caster char­ity YMCA Train­ing, which sup­ports young peo­ple to learn the skills they need to achieve their as­pi­ra­tions. PM Le­gal Ser­vices has also pro­moted Kirsten Etheridge, an­other YMCA train­ing stu­dent. Ms Quinn has been ap­pointed as an ad­min­is­tra­tion as­sis­tant and Ms Etheridge has been pro­moted from of­fice ad­min­is­tra­tor to ju­nior PA to Cas­san­dra Zanelli.


In­vest­ment man­age­ment and stock­broking firm Red­mayne Bentley is con­tin­u­ing its ex­pan­sion with two new ap­point­ments to its Leeds team. In­vest­ment man­ager Ian Booth and in­vest­ment man­age­ment de­part­ment man­ager Stu­art Ryan have both joined Red­mayne Bentley. Mr Booth be­gan his ca­reer in 1979 at Bar­clays in Bar­row-in-Fur­ness. Mr Ryan grad­u­ated from the Univer­sity of Wales with a de­gree in law and com­menced his ca­reer in fi­nance at HSBC in Ca­nary Wharf.
