A lawyer and two managing directors have been elected to join the Doncaster Chamber Board of Directors. Chamber president Michael Wilkinson (Frog Education) announced the election results at the AGM and welcomed onto the board, Tracie Dudley Shaw (Pristine Commercial Cleaning), Nick Fletcher (Analogue Electrics Ltd) and Sarah Naylor (Atherton Godfrey). They join a team of other business leaders to ensure the Chamber achieves its objectives.
The audit, tax and consulting firm RSM has appointed Gwyneth Barber as a new corporate tax partner in the Hull office. She is a prominent corporate tax adviser with more than 20 years’ experience acting for regional, national and international businesses on a range of corporate tax planning. Andy Capes, office managing partner at RSM in Hull, said: “It’s great to have Gwyneth on board. The appointment reaffirms our commitment to investing in talent and the local market.”
Manufacturer of firefighting appliances Rosenbauer UK restructured its senior leadership team, as the company prepares to consolidate its growth over the next five years. Nick Uwins takes the reins as managing director, following a promotion from his former role of sales and engineering director. Mr Uwins, who has over 28 years of fire industry experience, replaces founder Oliver North, who has led the business since its formation in 2008. Mr North will now fulfil an official advisory role for Rosenbauer in conjunction with pursuing new challenges outside of the fire sector.
The business-tobusiness division of coffee and tea specialist Ringtons has appointed Robyn Walsh as its new business development manager. Ringtons Beverages for Business is the wholesale division of the Newcastlebased business. Ms Walsh will be based in Leeds and joins the 110-year-old family business from an independent coffee company. In her new role, she will support existing Ringtons clients and look to attract new customers for the company.
South Yorkshire PR agency, HR Media (HRM), has expanded following the recruitment of a graphic design specialist. HRM, based on Sidney Street in Sheffield’s cultural industries quarter, has recruited Simon Garlick, 38, who joins from Chesterfield-based Alldread Burgess Advertising. Martin Ross, managing director of HRM, said: “Simon joins us at an exciting time in our 21-year history following our recent move to new premises in the cultural industries quarter of Sheffield.”
