Sub­scan UDS in­vests in sales team to meet tar­gets

A FAM­ILY-run busi­ness is in­vest­ing in its sales team and in­fra­struc­ture to help meet its growth tar­gets.

Sub­scan UDS Lim­ited, which is led by man­ag­ing di­rec­tor Roy Ma­son, has been de­liv­er­ing util­i­ties, drainage and sur­vey­ing ser­vices for more than 22 years.

To­day, Sub­scan em­ploys more than 85 peo­ple, in­clud­ing six mem­bers of the Ma­son fam­ily.

Mr Ma­son said the com­pany planned to con­tinue work­ing closely with its ex­ist­ing client base while mov­ing to­wards a more “di­rect de­liv­ery ap­proach” for clients. Sub­scan UDS has se­cured five, long-term con­tracts, with so­cial hous­ing clients in York­shire. Mr Ma­son added: “We are con­tin­u­ing to grow the busi­ness by in­vest­ing around £2.5m on seven new Sca­nia Flex­line 312 and re­cy­cler tankers, the sales team and in­fra­struc­ture to sup­port our am­bi­tious five-year growth plans.”

Mr Ma­son said, since 2012, Sub­scan’s mar­ket­ing strat­egy has been to de­velop long-last­ing re­la­tion­ships with ex­ist­ing clients.

Th­ese clients in­clude so­cial hous­ing main­te­nance providers, High­ways Eng­land and Net­work Rail Tier one con­trac­tors.

Leeds-based Sub­scan has also se­cured work with pri­vate and pub­lic sec­tor house­builders.
