Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce has appointed a new office administrator to support the existing team ahead of its planned growth and developments for 2019. Bringing over 30 years of experience, Shaida Khan, from Dewsbury, will support the membership, marketing and events team, whilst also providing additional support for the other 11 members of the wider Chamber team.
South Yorkshire communications consultancy Capital B Media has expanded its team through the appointment of a new junior account executive. Chris Doyle, 22, has joined the Barnsleybased firm after completing a BA in broadcast journalism and a Masters in documentary journalism at Nottingham Trent University. He has also worked as the social media officer for the DeaflympicsGB team, which included covering the Deaflympics in Turkey.
Norstar Real Estate has appointed Andrew Jones as design director. Mr Jones, who has specialised in technical design in main line construction for more than 20 years, joins Easingwold-based Norstar from Galliford Try in the North East, where he was a freelance technical manager. Paul Brown, director of Norstar, said: “Andrew’s experience and expertise will be invaluable to us as we embark on and conclude developments across the Yorkshire region. He joins us at a very important time for the company.” Mr Jones described the firm as a “good fit”.
CBRE Leeds has strengthened its property management team with the appointment of Dan Middleton as surveyor. Dan joins from WT Gunson, where he was a chartered surveyor. Dan will be responsible for managing property owned by a number of CBRE’s local and national clients. James Millson, associate director for CBRE Leeds, said: “Dan will add real value to our growing team working across both Yorkshire and the North East regions.”
Robotics firm UiPath has announced the appointment of Marie Myers as its chief financial officer (CFO). As CFO, Ms Myers will report directly to UiPath’s CEO and co-founder Daniel Dines and will provide the financial leadership to support the company’s global mission to accelerate the adoption of automation across public and private sectors and businesses of all sizes. Myers joins UiPath from HP where she served as the global controller and executive officer, leading a team of 2,200.
