Mid York­shire Cham­ber of Com­merce has ap­pointed a new of­fice ad­min­is­tra­tor to sup­port the ex­ist­ing team ahead of its planned growth and de­vel­op­ments for 2019. Bring­ing over 30 years of ex­pe­ri­ence, Shaida Khan, from Dews­bury, will sup­port the mem­ber­ship, mar­ket­ing and events team, whilst also pro­vid­ing ad­di­tional sup­port for the other 11 mem­bers of the wider Cham­ber team.


South York­shire com­mu­ni­ca­tions con­sul­tancy Cap­i­tal B Me­dia has ex­panded its team through the ap­point­ment of a new ju­nior ac­count ex­ec­u­tive. Chris Doyle, 22, has joined the Barns­ley­based firm af­ter com­plet­ing a BA in broad­cast jour­nal­ism and a Masters in doc­u­men­tary jour­nal­ism at Not­ting­ham Trent Univer­sity. He has also worked as the so­cial me­dia of­fi­cer for the Deafly­mpic­sGB team, which in­cluded cov­er­ing the Deafly­mpics in Tur­key.


Norstar Real Es­tate has ap­pointed An­drew Jones as de­sign di­rec­tor. Mr Jones, who has spe­cialised in tech­ni­cal de­sign in main line con­struc­tion for more than 20 years, joins Eas­ing­wold-based Norstar from Gal­li­ford Try in the North East, where he was a free­lance tech­ni­cal man­ager. Paul Brown, di­rec­tor of Norstar, said: “An­drew’s ex­pe­ri­ence and ex­per­tise will be in­valu­able to us as we em­bark on and con­clude de­vel­op­ments across the York­shire re­gion. He joins us at a very im­por­tant time for the com­pany.” Mr Jones de­scribed the firm as a “good fit”.


CBRE Leeds has strength­ened its prop­erty man­age­ment team with the ap­point­ment of Dan Mid­dle­ton as sur­veyor. Dan joins from WT Gun­son, where he was a char­tered sur­veyor. Dan will be re­spon­si­ble for man­ag­ing prop­erty owned by a num­ber of CBRE’s lo­cal and na­tional clients. James Mill­son, as­so­ciate di­rec­tor for CBRE Leeds, said: “Dan will add real value to our grow­ing team work­ing across both York­shire and the North East re­gions.”


Robotics firm UiPath has an­nounced the ap­point­ment of Marie My­ers as its chief fi­nan­cial of­fi­cer (CFO). As CFO, Ms My­ers will re­port di­rectly to UiPath’s CEO and co-founder Daniel Dines and will pro­vide the fi­nan­cial lead­er­ship to sup­port the com­pany’s global mis­sion to ac­cel­er­ate the adop­tion of au­to­ma­tion across pub­lic and pri­vate sec­tors and busi­nesses of all sizes. My­ers joins UiPath from HP where she served as the global con­troller and ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer, lead­ing a team of 2,200.
