Artist unveils largest painting

LEEDS artist Alan Flood will unveil his largest ever commission later this month.

The 42ft long acrylic abstract painting will hang in the city’s North Sea Chinese Restaurant following the official unveiling next Sunday. “I knew the size of this commission was going to pose a real challenge,” says Alan, who is based in Horsforth.

“Some may find this a curious time for a restaurant to be investing in a large piece of art, but the owners recognise the importance of artistic expression and that’s something which is even more important in times of economic uncertainty.”
