A CINEMA and business centre in Sheffield is to lead a programme to increase awareness of specialised and British independent films.

The Showroom Cinema and Workstation will collaborate with other members of the BFI Film Audience Network, called Film Hub North.

And they have announced a new partnership with Sheffield Doc/Fest and Cineworld for a programme of new documentaries which it is hoped will attract audiences from across Yorkshire. A full list of events will be announced later in the year. A NEW comedy, inspired by Bollywood films, will take to the stage as part of the World Curry Festival.

How to Make A Killing in Bollywood is a play about two best friends who decide to quit their jobs in a takeaway restaurant in the hope of making it big in the Indian film industry. But how far will they go to realise their dreams?

There will be two performances of the play at Bradford’s Alhambra Studio on June 21, one at 2.30pm and one 8pm. For tickets call the box office on 01274 432000.
