Lynda La Plante to appear at festival Isle of Man visits provide novel idea
Record Mirror AWARD-WINNING screenwriter Lynda La Plante will be appearing at this year’s Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival in Harrogate.
The brains behind television show Widows and Prime Suspect, who was the first nonscientist to be given an Honorary Fellowship with the Forensic Science Society, La Plante also has a new novel out. Kerron Cross’s A Dark Stranger’s Guide to the Isle of Man, which is available through Amazon, was inspired by his own experiences of visiting the island where his mother was born. His next book – a sideways look at British politics – is due out next year ahead of the General Election.
