Carousel does the rounds once again

Yorkshire Post - Culture & The Guide - - STAGE -

OPERA North’s hit production of the classic American musical Carousel is set to return to the stage next year.

The show was composed by one of Broadway’s most successful partnerships Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. Set in a fishing community in New England, the story tells of the ill-fated affair between Billy Bigelow and a young mill-worker, Julie Jordan.

Carousel will be performed at the Leeds Grand from May 13 to 23. For tickets call the box office on 0844 848 2700 or book online at www.opera
