The English Game, 2009: A tour­ing play, telling the story of a vil­lage cricket club, it ex­plored themes of na­tional iden­tity that would later cause con­tro­versy.

One Man, Two Gu­vnors,

2011: The mo­ment when Bean be­came the most in-de­mand play­wright of a gen­er­a­tion and could pick his projects.
