Slate pro­gramme: Sh­effield­based Eclipse The­atre Com­pany has un­veiled the six En­ablers re­cruited to help de­liver Slate – its pro­gramme sup­port­ing more than 1,200 black artists in the North over the next three years as part of Arts Coun­cil Eng­land’s Sus­tained The­atre scheme. The six black arts pro­fes­sion­als, se­lected from al­most 100 ap­pli­cants, will be fi­nanced, sup­ported and de­vel­oped by Eclipse and a con­sor­tium of 11 arts or­gan­i­sa­tions in­clud­ing Hull Truck and Brad­ford City Coun­cil. The York­shire­based En­ablers are Sea­son But­ler, a Brad­ford writer, per­for­mance artist, teacher and as­so­ci­ate pro­ducer of I’m With You art col­lec­tive, Hull’s Me­lanie Abra­hams who is a cu­ra­tor, pro­ducer and men­tor and Sh­effield­based
