Ford’s focus on classic model

Yorkshire Post - Motoring - - NEWS -

Ford has mothballed the first UK-registered Focus RS500 for its heritage displays at shows and dealerships.

Only another 100 were available for the UK.

Ford’s corporate affairs manager, Brian Bennett, says the RS500 is an obvious future classic. Its brethren in the Dagenham-based collection include the Escort that won the 1970 London to Mexico rally, plus the car that gave Ford supremacy in Britain – the Cortina.
