Winged arrow celebration

Yorkshire Post - Motoring - - NEWS -

ŠKODA is publicising 85 years of its winged arrow emblem. The first car to have the logo was the Škoda Hispano Suiza, a luxury car built under licence from the Spanish marque.

The first was delivered to the president of Czechoslovakia, Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk. Only 100 of the luxury sedans were built – all to order.

They were expensive. Prices started at £6,785 and rose to £8,928. The contemporary and lovely Škoda 860 costs £4,200.
