Hyundai i800 gets a high top

Yorkshire Post - Motoring - - NEWS -

INDEPENDENT camper van builder Wellhouse Leisure has added a high-top version to its award-winning conversion of the Hyundai i800 MPV – which has an elevating roof. The taller roof gives more storage and permanent higher head room. Prices start at £37,500 with automatic gears – also available on the standard body. Both versions now have the latest Euro 5 diesel engine. The Wellhouse Hyundai won the 2011 Motorcaravan of the Year award for the company, which is at Shepley, Huddersfield. Wellhouse’s owner, David Elliott is overwhelmed with its success. Since its start in 2002, it has sold more than 1,000 camper vans. Ford’s centenary tour of Britain had an unusual halt in the Scottish Highlands this week. A local writer given the wheel of a Boss Mustang dropped in on a BMW dealer in Inverness who was interested in seeing the muscle car. He left it idling at the door and returned to find it burbling happily away to itself, door closed – and locked. It took 60 minutes to open the car.
