IN the week that the world’s old­est sur­viv­ing pro­duc­tion Bent­ley from 1921 sold for $962,500 at Peb­ble Beach, Cal­i­for­nia, its VW sta­ble­mate Skoda was set­ting a 2-litre pro­duc­tion car record of 227mph in Utah. Mean­while – at Crewe HQ, Bent­ley was prep­ping this gor­geous Con­ti­nen­tal GTC drop­head for its world de­but at Frankfurt next month. For £149,350 you get stacks of style and an up­rated model with a 567bhp six-litre twin turbo 12-cylin­der en­gine.
