Yorkshire Post - Motoring - - NEWS -

THERE are not many perks to being behind the steering wheel on UK roads all day every day but this surely is one of them – the chance to put the Lexus 4.8 litre V10 LFA super car through its paces at Silverstone.

That is the prize awaiting the winner of the fleet driver of the year competition. By way of consolation, the runner-up will be given a ride round the famous track in the £350,000 super car but as a passenger with a pro showing what the LFA can do around Silverstone’s internationally renowned three mile circuit – 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 202mph.

The competition, which is sponsored by Toyota and Lexus Fleet Services, has been organised by ALD Automotive in conjunction with training specialists, Peak Performance, and has attracted entries from all over the UK.

“This will be an amazing experience for the winner of the fleet driver of the year competition and the runnerup is not forgotten as well,” said Fleet World managing editor Ross Durkin.
