Value for money for quad bike fans

Yorkshire Post - Motoring - - NEWS -

IF you always fancied a quad bike but never quite got round to doing anything about it, then now’s your chance.

This week Dacia, the valuefor-money arm of the Renault marque, has launched an ATV (All-Terrain-Vehicle) designed specifically for the Duster 4x4. The pack includes a towbar, trailer and quad bike.

The entry-level no frills Duster comes in at £8,995. Here no frills means just that – sans alloys, radio, aircon, seat height adjuster. Powered by a 1.6litre petrol engine for that price its 2WD only, for a step up to 4WD buyers need to dig a little deeper – £11,095.

Quad bike fans will need to find a further £7,800, be they custodians of a 4x2 or 4x4 version, to add a Yamaha ATV Grizzly 350 4WD. The most popular option is expected to be the Ambiance dCi 110 4x4, combined with the same quad bike for a total of £21,495 for both car and bike.

At the other end of the price spectrum, the two-wheel-drive Yamaha Grizzly 125 can be hooked up as part of a £5,400 offer. Adding it to the entry Duster 4x4 would cost £16,495.
