Housing market turns corner
THE housing market appears to have finally turned a corner, according to the latest Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors report.
The number of buyers grew in July and a net balance of 67 per cent more chartered surveyors in the region reported increases in demand, up from 53 per cent in June. The RICS say the Government’s help to buy scheme and rising confidence in the economy helped boost the market.
Improved market activity was seen in every part of the UK as the recovery, initially focused in the South East, spread to regions across the country. The West Midlands and the North East experienced the biggest increases in buyer activity in July.
