Record auc­tion nets £4min sales

AUC­TION House in West York­shire raised al­most £4m in sales, it’s high­est ever to­tal, at its re­cent auc­tion.

Auc­tion­eer David Pank says:“Ahead of the sale a record 570 in­di­vid­u­als ac­cessed the le­gal packs for the var­ied cat­a­logue of 57 properties and more than 500 peo­ple at­tended the auc­tion in the sale­room with a fur­ther 300 watch­ing pro­ceed­ings on­line.

“It was a day of records. We raised £3,800,000 with more post auc­tion sales than ex­pected and had a to­tal of 25 re­mote bid­ders, the high­est num­ber ever.”

High­lights in­cluded Ash­field House, a for­mer nurs­ing home in Thorn­ton, near Brad­ford, which started with a guide price of £175,000 and even­tu­ally sold for £313,000.
