Record auction nets £4min sales
AUCTION House in West Yorkshire raised almost £4m in sales, it’s highest ever total, at its recent auction.
Auctioneer David Pank says:“Ahead of the sale a record 570 individuals accessed the legal packs for the varied catalogue of 57 properties and more than 500 people attended the auction in the saleroom with a further 300 watching proceedings online.
“It was a day of records. We raised £3,800,000 with more post auction sales than expected and had a total of 25 remote bidders, the highest number ever.”
Highlights included Ashfield House, a former nursing home in Thornton, near Bradford, which started with a guide price of £175,000 and eventually sold for £313,000.
