Developers home in on derelict site
LEEDS developer Evans Property Group and York housebuilder Shepherd Homes have entered into a joint venture partnership to build 54 homes in the centre of Guiseley, near Leeds.
The family-owned companies have teamed up to transform a redundant former industrial site on Wells Lane.
The first phase of work, which will start this month, will involve the demolition of about 100,000 sq ft of derelict, 1940s industrial buildings. Shepherd Homes will release the first phase of homes for sale in the spring.
Evans Property Group portfolio director Alan Syers says: “The redundant site occupies a prime location within a conservation area.”
