New rules due for property listings

Tax: The National Trading Standards has announced that by the end of

May 2022, all property listings will need to contain details of a home’s council tax band or rate and the property price and tenure information.

The new requirements are part of an effort to improve quick and easy access to vital information needed by buyers and for the conveyancing process.

The move has been welcomed and is the first phase of a threepart project to define and include details that will both inform buyers and property lawyers.
