Biggest house rises are in seaside towns

Study: Research by estate agent comparison site, GetAgent.co.uk, has found that when it comes to house price appreciati­on, seaside towns are outperform­ing the rest of the market.

The research shows that seaside towns have posted the strongest performanc­e on all fronts. With a current average of £340,339, they are home to the highest current property values.

They’ve also seen the largest annual increase at 13.2 per cent, as well as the largest increase during the pandemic, up by 21.2 per cent.

New towns and market towns have also performed well with an uplift of 11.4 per cent and 11.2 per cent respective­ly.
