Debate continued on Building Safety Bill
Parliament: The House of
Lords amendments to the Building Safety Bill aimed at helping those caught in the cladding and building safety scandal were debated in the House of Commons as campaigners staged a rally outside Westminster.
While housing minister and MP for Pudsey Stuart Andrew said the Government will hold a consultation on how to deal with costs faced by those in enfranchised buildings where leasehold flat owners have bought the freehold, there was disappointment that many of the amendments made by the Lords were voted down by MPs.
