York one of UK’s safest places to live

Security: York is the third safest place to live in the UK with a Safety Index Score of 7.04, according to www.get-licensed.co.uk.

It has the highest perceived safety among residents.

Warrington is the safest place to live as it enjoys a high level of perceived safety among locals and some of the most stringent safety standards for its taxis. However, it does suffer from a slightly higher rate of violent and sexual offences than other locations in the top 10.

Cheltenham is the second safest place to live in the UK, benefiting from low crime rates.
