Warm welcome to a modern hero
RUGBY LEAGUE legend Gareth Ellis today starts his new exclusive column in The Yorkshire Post.
Hugely respected on both sides of the world, the former Great Britain star retired last season after a glittering career.
Castleford-born Ellis won two Super League Grand Finals and a World Club Challenge with Leeds Rhinos after joining from Wakefield Trinity. He became a club legend during four years with Sydney side Wests Tigers and was twice voted the world’s greatest second-row.
He then transformed Hull FC’s fortunes captaining them to back-to-back Challenge Cup wins in 2016 and 2017 and is now the club’s football manager.
