It’s now six of the best for Harrogate
NATIONAL LEAGUE: Harrogate Town climbed up to third place after beating Solihull Moors 3-1 at home, making it six games unbeaten this season.
Striker Dominic Knowles rose highest to nod Joe Leesley’s seventh-minute corner goalwards and Leeds United loanee Liam Kitching was on hand to add a finishing touch from close range.
The Harrogate lead was short-lived as Adi Yussuf pulled Moors level, smashing in from six yards.
The second half was just four minutes old when Kelvin Langmead’s header from Leesley’s corner was cleared off the line and struck Jack Muldoon, who diverted the ball onto the outside of the post.
Harrogate, however, scored two goals in quick succession for the third match in a row.
With 15 minutes remaining, George Thomson cut in from the right and sent a low left-footed effort past the despairing dive of Ryan Boot. Three minutes later, Leesley’s corner was headed home by Callum Howe.
