Good day: Jason Puncheon
Impressed on league debut for Huddersfield Town by bringing some much-needed urgency to the attack. Tired late on but an encouraging performance.
Bad day: Alex Pritchard
Little went right for Town midfielder, whose corners in the second half were woeful. Always willing to try to unlock the defence but execution made it a day to forget.
Key moment: 76th minute
Lee Mason’s decision to overturn his own penalty award for a foul on Florent Hadergjonaj by Joe Bennett denied Town a big opportunity to claim victory.
Ref watch: Lee Mason
Left Town fuming at final whistle and also jeered by locals at half-time after dismissing a strong Cardiff shout for a penalty when Hadergjonaj looked to foul Junior Hoilett.
Result did neither side much good. Town displayed more adventure than in most away games this term but quality still lacking.
