Yorkshire Post - Sports Monday - - RUGBY UNION -

BASKETBALL: Sheffield Sharks suffered defeat on their visit to the capital on Saturday night.

London City Royals jumped two places in the BBL Championship standings, up to fifth, as they beat the secondplaced Sharks 83-70.

The Royals used a big fourth quarter run for the second home game in a row, and remain unbeaten at Crystal Palace in league action.

The teams could hardly be separated for much of the game and Sharks led in the fourth quarter until Matthew BryanAmaning sparked a 16-2 run.

Chris Alexander top-scored with 26 points for the Sharks while Drew Williams added 19 points, but it was a third defeat in four for Sheffield.
