-

WHETHER you are a lark, leaping out of bed as soon as the alarm goes off, or an night owl, preferring a late night followed by a lie-in, whatever your nocturnal habits you need a bed that will give you a comfortable night’s sleep.

Yet the perfect bed means different things to different people. Some like to snuggle down in a soft mattress while others prefer a certain firmness. This is something expert bed manufacturers Beevers Beds, based in Whitby, understands.

The philosophy at this well-established and highly regarded independent company is that every single customer deserves a bed to rest their head that is as individual as they are. This is why it’s committed to advising you on the very best materials and products for your requirements, then tailor-making the perfect bed to fulfil them.

Because the beds are all hand-made you have the freedom to select almost any size and firmness you desire, for optimum comfort, by choosing from a wide range of springs and fillings in a number of combinations – not only in the mattresses but the bases too.

The quantities that go into a mattress here is a direct reflection of the exceptional quality of the end product.

Mattresses made at Beevers’ factory, located just a few miles from its Whitby showroom, have a choice of up to 3,000 pocket springs as well as the sides being hand side stitched to give support to the edge of the mattress.

There are a number of fillings to choose from, including lambs wool, cotton, cashmere and silk, all with different characteristics to create a bed that is bespoke to your needs.

Memory foam mattresses are another option along with electronically adjustable beds and massage beds, using components of the highest quality to make up the base and motor parts of the bed.

Every bed base is made from solid timber sides and hardwood corner blocks making them incredibly sturdy.

If conventional bed sizes just don’t seem to fit your shape, there are a range of sizes to suit people who may be a little taller or wider than average.

Beevers can even custom-make more unconventional beds, such as circular ones, if you’re after something a little out of the ordinary, or beds that fit perfectly in small or awkward spaces. What’s more, there are plenty of options for useful storage solutions, making the bed even more practical.

While Beevers is well known for its beds, its four showrooms are also a fantastic place to visit if you’re looking to transform the rest of the home as well.

The 24,000 square foot showroom in Whitby, housed in a former 18th century sail making factory, has a vast array of products for the home.
