Top chateaux launch drive to draw golfers

IF you play golf and enjoy wine then you can combine the two at the Sauternes and Barsac Golf Weekend, which will be held on September 14 and 15.

Top-name estates including Châteaux Climens, Guiraud, d’Yquem and Filhot will work together so you can practise your swing and then dine at the properties.

From the programme it seems that these are not proper golf courses, more of a peripatetic game of golf with each châteaux providing one of the greens, but it should be great fun and will give a terrific insight into the region.
