Violin scales heights

AT an earlier sale at the popular Heeley rooms, a 19th-century German violin made by Franz Geissenhof (1753-1821) sold for a premium-inclusive £2,056. Local highlights included a 19th-century Yorkshire Pottery Toby jug (£846), a painting entitled Cloud Shadows, Jackson Bay, Scarboroug­h, dated 1852, and Portrait of June Wilson, dated 1950, both by Sheffield artist Stanley Royle (£940 and £1,081) and Dover Street, with the Red Lion Pub by another Sheffield artist, Joe Scarboroug­h (£1,821).
