Acorn Garden Supplies is the ‘go to’ place for all your horticultural equipment
Acorn Garden Supplies of Bingley can trace its roots back 50 years, the past 15 of those under the ownership of former customer Neil Ryall.
Primarily a wholesale business for much of that time, it now attracts many retail customers, keen to take advantage of the trade prices and excellent selection of gardening tools, supplies and sundries they find at the warehouse on Castlefields Trading Estate.
Around 70 per cent of the business is online with orders being shipped all over the world – even Australia. But, unlike many such businesses, the price you pay as an-over-the-counter customer is the same as you pay online.
The excellent reputation Neil and the team have built up over the years has led to them becoming a key garden supplier for councils, schools, retail outlets, and allotment societies across the country.
Neil said: “Our aim is to be the premier supplier of garden and garden related products, and to achieve this we always offer great value for money with a speedy delivery service for our online orders.
“We have more than 3,500 products for sale from the warehouse and for internet orders we achieve more than 95 per cent same day despatch.
“We pride ourselves in being able to help out and supply products which are rare, and not found in the national retail chains.”
Potato and onion sets, bedding plants – spring and summer – seeds, traditional fertilisers such as blood and bonemeal, professional lawncare products, bird food and more recently top quality dog food are ranged along the aisles along with greenhouse equipment quality British and German tools and just about anything else you could possibly need to bring your garden to life and keep it looking its very best.
They also sell garden furniture as well, so you can relax after a hard day’s work in the garden.
