Descendants

Poet Yrsa Daley-Ward hosts this series, originally on BBC Radio 4 and also available as a podcast. Across seven episodes, it explores the stories of people whose lives today are all connected through the history of British slavery. One episode brings together a man whose predecessor paid for the statue of 17th century slave trader Edward Colston, and a man who helped to dump it in Bristol harbour, inset, in June 2020.
