Dear Style Clinic
For their Christmas present this year, I would like to treat my daughters to a spa day or break somewhere in Yorkshire. Do you have any suggestions?
The gift of a spa break or day is a brilliant idea – a little luxury, after all the gloom. And, of course, there are plenty of fantastic places to choose from.
For the ultimate in luxury, the Three Graces Spa at Grantley Hall, near Ripon, offers a spa day that includes lunch, all the thermal and spa facilities (there is a hydrotherapy and outdoor pool and garden, as well as indoor pool, sauna, steam room and so on) and a choice of 60-minute treatment, from £245 per person. Or there is an evening Twilight package from £165 a person.
Eco warrior spa lovers might appreciate something new from Titanic Spa, near Huddersfield, which has just launched its Protecting the Jaguars package, working to help save the big cats in Argentina. It includes an overnight stay, lunch and evening meal, and all spa facilities, and costs £195 per person, with Neom Organic treatment an extra £85.
But at-home spa gifts are also gorgeous (and usually a fraction of the cost of a break), so consider one of these as an option, or give as well as the spa break voucher, if you are feeling exceptionally generous (and flush).
