Yorkshire potter David Roberts is one of the stars of a new show at Messums gallery in Harrogate. David is a leading practitioner of Raku, a technique with its origins in 16th century Japan. The show also features works by Dame Elisabeth Frink, Rose Hilton, Henry Lamb, Sir Terry Frost, John Walker, John Beard and Lucien Pissarro as well as the wire chair and stool designed by Shin Azumi. David Roberts and 20th Century British Art and Design runs until December 23 at Messums, 2-6 James Street, Harrogate. The gallery opens Wednesday to Sunday.
