Winter Walks

- AVAILABLE ON BBC IPLAYER REVIEW BY YVETTE HUDDLESTON

This delightful, gentle series provides a welcome break from all the madness as each episodes sees a familiar face take a winter walk through some beautiful northern landscapes.

Many of those taking part are wellknown Yorkshire folk including poet laureate Simon Armitage, TV presenter Selina Scott, politician Sayeeda

Warsi and writer and mental health campaigner Alastair Campbell.

Each of them are completely alone and equipped with a 360-degree camera that records them and their surroundings. It makes for a very intimate and immersive experience as the participants share their thoughts on the landscape they are walking through, meet fellow walkers along the way and make candid observations about life, the universe and everything.

Scott and Warsi both take solitary rambles through scenic Wharfedale, enjoying the peace and serenity, Campbell heads for the heights of snowy Ribblesdale and Armitage explores the delights of the East Yorkshire coastline.
