Lapicida is a Yorkshire company with a strong international reputation. Working with top architects and designers as well as individual customers all over the world, the company operates from an extraordinary three-acre showroom, garden and workshop complex in Knaresborough.
To complement its premium marble and stone collections, Lapicida also offers new-generation porcelains. These are designed to work alongside natural wall and floor materials, but also to act as their alternatives, perfectly mimicking the real thing but offering some important differences in performance.
Advancing technology and production techniques have transformed porcelain into a true chameleon. Nowadays it can look – and feel – like anything from marble, natural timber, concrete, mirror, metal, or limestone – even antique stone.
Lighter and thinner than any of these materials, porcelain is easy to use on floors, walls and even ceilings. Quick and easy to lay, porcelain tiling needs no sealing or polishing, making it virtually maintenance free. It can also be useful for making the most of a tight budget.

Perfectly capturing the look and feel of time-worn wood, the Elements Wood range offers both style and beauty, as well as the added benefits of a porcelain surface. With a soft touch finish and a reflective quality, it brings a bright, contemporary feel to interiors.
A versatile range, Elements Wood is available in three styles in a choice of four authentic colourways.
Very much in line with the trend for mixed metallics in the home, the Elements Metal range offers three eyecatching colourways. From the aquatic tones of Mint, the bright white of Frozen and the zingy burnt umber of Copper, it achieves a highly modern look and is the perfect tile for creating statement floors and walls.
Subtly and authentically toned and textured, Elements Stone offers the beauty of natural stone but with the easy installation, affordability and extraordinary durability of porcelain. Available in varying colourways, ranging from the warm and creamy Itria to darker Gardena.
