Select SASO for quality and affordability

-

Quality and affordability come together in style at SASO, the Castleford bed and suite superstore with a stunning selection of products to suit all settings and budgets.

Whether it is in the longestablished ground floor bed showroom or the more recently added first-floor suite department, there is an unrivalled choice of items from leading manufacturers, most of them British made.

The suite showroom has proved a tremendous success since it opened less than a year ago, though this will hardly be surprising news to anyone who has already visited and taken in the eyecatching collection of suites and accessories fit to grace any room.

From impressive corner suites to rise-and-recline armchairs, many of them are displayed in attractive room sets around the walls to give a good idea of how they will look in your home.

As with the beds and mattresses downstairs, the selection of suites chosen to ensure a wide range of budgets are catered for – a case of comfortable furnishings at equally comfortable prices.

Back on the ground floor, SASO are especially proud of their Harrison Spinks range from the Leeds-based familyowned company which has been synonymous with quality handmade beds and mattresses since 1840.

‘Made in Yorkshire’ is a proud proclamation of many businesses but few can mean it to the extent of Harrison Spinks.

From the basic raw materials onward, as much as possible of each bed and mattress is sourced and produced within the county.

It begins at the company’s

own farm near Tadcaster, where 600 sheep provide most of the wool for pillows and mattresses, while in other fields hemp and flax are grown to provide raw materials for the absorbent fibres which control mattress moisture levels.

As well as reducing supply chain mileage and CO2 emissions, the farm is also

a wildlife haven, with 58 bird species having been recorded.

Timber comes from the firm’s 56-acre North Yorkshire wood, while the factory includes facilities for undertaking weaving, wire drawing and spring production.

In recognition of its work to improve sustainability, Harrison Spinks received a Queen’s Award

for Enterprise in Sustainable Development in 2019 and also holds Carbon Neutral Organisation status.

These sit alongside a number of other Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, reflecting the innovative approach which has been at the heart of the company’s philosophy since it was established in 1840.

Alongside its Harrison Spinks, collection, SASO also stocks a selection of beds and mattresses by several other leading British manufacturers including

Hypnos, Millbrook, Relyon and Dunlopillo.
