This weekend marks the start of the fantastic York Open Studios event. It runs over two weekends, April 2 and 3 and April 9 and 10, and is a chance to meet the artists and makers in a variety of venues, including their own home studios and commercial workshops. Pictured here is a silkscreen print of Scarborough’s Grand Hotel (£140) by printmaker Greg Winrow, who trained in art, design and photography and now concentrates on silkscreen and lino prints. Greg uses a Hawthorne press for his printing and you can see it in his home studio at Flat 2, 56 Goodramgate, York, during the Open Studios weekends. www.yorkopenstudios.co.uk
