It is made by Sacha Lichine at Ch. d’Esclans who has chipped in, probably substantially, to support the Jubilee celebrations. Meet the Winemaker:

The Yorkshire Wine School will host Master of Wine Norrel Robertson for a Meet the Winemaker session at the Radisson Blu hotel in Leeds on June 25, starting at 7pm. Norrel is responsible for a great many Spanish wines on supermarket and independent retailers’ shelves. He lives in Spain and sources grapes and wines for many of the major retailers. Norrel is a Garnacha specialist, and he will present several Garnacha wines as well as a stunning Macabeo and a Syrah/Viognier, amongst others at this session. Tickets cost

Gosset Matchmakers:

A call has gone out to chefs and sommeliers to enter the 2022 Gosset Matchmakers Competition. This is now in its seventh year and challenges each team of chef and sommelier to create an inspiring dish to match Gosset Grand Reserve Champagne. The entrants must have no more than five years professional work experience in the UK trade. The prize is an all-expenses paid trip to Gosset with an exclusive vins clairs blending workshop.
