Renowned prankster, award-winning comedian and Lee Nelson creator Simon Brodkin is extending the tour of his latest stand-up show, Screwed Up, a critical hit which enjoyed a soldout run at the Edinburgh Fringe. The new autumn leg includes dates in Leeds, Doncaster and York. Screwed Up is set to be Brodkin’s biggest national tour to date performing as himself.

This show, Brodkin’s second as himself, is far more personal than his debut, and sees him explore his Russian ancestry, his recent ADHD diagnosis, and his relationship to fame – having made headlines all over the world with his notorious stunts while simultaneously being rejected by I’m a Celebrity for not being famous enough.

In Screwed Up, he also rips into celebrity culture, social media, the police, Putin and Prince Andrew. Nothing is off limits.

Star of Channel 4’s Britain’s Greatest Hoaxer, Brodkin hit global headlines multiple times for his high-profile stunts, including handing Theresa May a P45 during her speech at the Conservative Party conference; showering disgraced Fifa president Sepp Blatter with banknotes, surrounding Donald Trump at the opening of his golf course with 60 swastikaemblazoned golf balls; attaching a 25-foot sign to the side of Sir Philip Green’s super-yacht, and going on Britain’s Got Talent as the ultraorthodox Jewish rapper Steven Goldblatt – fooling Simon Cowell and the other judges to win four “yeses”.

Britain’s Greatest Hoaxer was nominated for Best Documentary at the Monte Carlo TV Festival Golden Nymph Awards 2018.

Brodkin created the irrepressible character Lee Nelson, enjoying three successful BBC series with Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show and Lee Nelson’s Well Funny People. He has performed and hosted as Lee on many TV shows including Live at the Apollo, Sunday Night at the Palladium and Children in Need.

Brodkin’s first show as himself, 100% Simon Brodkin, which premiered at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe, was a hit with audiences and was selected by the Evening Standard as one of the “Best Comedy Shows at the Edinburgh”. It went on an extended UK tour, with over 50 dates added to meet the demand for tickets.
