FIELD NOTES: Linda Ingham’s hand-made gifts reflect landscape and ecology.
CHRISTMAS is on its way, which is why the Studio Eleven gallery, in Hull, is staging an exhibition of original art and contemporary ceramics.
There are lots of reasons to treat yourself or someone else with a handmade gift from here, with everything from chiaroscuro to mid-century modern-inspired designs.
The gallery’s Winter Show offers affordable collectables including paintings and hand-made prints curated alongside contemporary ceramic art.
The show includes porcelain by Helen Beard, hand-painted maiolica ceramics by Agalis Manessi, and slipware by Dylan Bowen, along with gifts from Punk Pottery and Raku moon jars by Lisa Wilson.
Linda Ingham’s Field Notes range includes hand-made gifts, housewares and merchandise, sustainably created and personally sourced by Linda, to reflect landscape and ecology.
The above are just a handful of the artists and makers whose work is on show at Studio Eleven, which was founded by ceramic sculptor Adele Howitt.
It is more than a gallery, it’s a studio and workshop space.
Adele says: “We offer specialist studio space for ceramicists and a shared workshop for printmaking. Events include artists talks, performances, workshops, hire of the studio space and a rolling programme of exhibitions featuring contemporary ceramics and painting.”
Studio Eleven is at 12 Humber Street, Hull, and the gallery opening times are 11am to 4pm or you can shop online at www.studioeleven-shop.squarespace.com/
