The Traitors BBC1, 9pm

Would the second season of The Traitors be as good as the first? The answer to that is a resounding ”yes”, as over the past few weeks, millions of us have been gripped by the dramatic events at the spooky castle in the Scottish Highlands, not to mention Claudia Winkleman’s outfits and a certain owl. Now, after three and a bit weeks of strategy, suspicion and shocks, the series draws to a close. First up, the players contest the biggest mission yet in an attempt to give the prize fund one final boost, while the Faithfuls attempt to identify the Traitors before they nab all the cash. After this evening’s dramatic events, Ed Gamble presents The Traitors: Uncloaked (BBC Two, 10.10pm).

The Canary Islands with Jane McDonald Channel 5, 9pm

Jane’s final stop is the island of Lanzarote. After checking into her hotel in the popular resort of Costa Teguise, she visits the underground Jameos del Agua caves, which artist and architect Cesar Manrique turned into a form of art installation, underwater lagoon, outside pool and amphitheatre. The presenter then has a pottery lesson with artisan master potter Juan, learning how to make small bowls in the traditional way. After reading about a popular attraction in Playa Blanca called ‘the spoon in concrete’, Jane goes to see it for herself, before meeting up with old friend Terri in Timanfaya National Park where they eat chicken cooked by the heat of the volcano. Finally, she visits the small town of Teguise, where she has a go at palo canario, the old way of stick fighting.
