Talks over job cuts at Morrisons site

WAKEFIELD: Union leaders are in talks with Morrisons over the supermarke­t giant’s plans to axe up to 100 jobs at its Wakefield Junction 41 distributi­on centre.

Morrisons is seeking restructur­e the distributi­on centre and close one of the warehouses in a bid to cut costs.

A Morrisons spokeswoma­n said they were working together to reduce the risk of any compulsory redundanci­es.
