Scent with aroma of a Viking warrior

-

IT IS a warrior’s scent with a fragrance like no other.

A new men’s deodorant contains an aroma of sweat, mead, forest pine, meat, seawater and the smoke of burning fires. And with just one spray, tourism leaders at Visit York hope the wearer of Norse Power will instantly take on the smell of a fierce Viking warrior fresh from a raid in the Middle Ages.

Created in the 30th anniversary year of York’s Jorvik Viking Centre, the new body spray was commissioned by Visit York to give an understanding of the aromas from the days of longships and even longer beards. Those interested in smelling Norse Power should head to the Visit York’s visitor centre in Museum Street today or tomorrow. The body spray was developed by a team of scent scientists in consultation with York’s Viking experts at Jorvik.
